Recipe from: Laura Watson
The 1st Christmas I was married (1997) I started the tradition making cinnamon rolls on Christmas Eve to enjoy for breakfast on Christmas morning.
Dough:
1 pkg. yeast
1 c. warm milk
1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. butter
1 tsp salt
2 eggs
4 flour
Filling:
1 c. brown sugar
2 1/2 Tbsp cinnamon
1/3 c. soft butter
Icing:
1 stick butter
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1/4 c. cream cheese, soft
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/8 tsp salt
To mix dough, a breadmaker is ideal. Just set it for mix & rise. Other wise, mix ingredients & let rise til double. heat oven to 400. Roll dough & sprinkle w/ filling. Roll into tub shape & cut into individual rolls. bake for 10-15 min. Drizzle w/ icing while rolls are warm.
