Amazing Double Chocolate Chip Cookies

Recipe from Kara Penrod

Keith and I tried this recipe for the first time and absolutely loved it! I think we ate more than half the batch by ourselves then decided we should probably give some away so we don't make ourselves sick by eating too many cookies- they were so so addicting! But for anyone who loves chocolate- these cookies are amazing! I recommend taking them out at 9 min. no longer and letting them cool. That has worked best for us.

Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Baking Cocoa
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened
2/3 cup granulated sugar
2/3 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs
1 3/4 cups (11.5-oz. pkg.) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chunks or you can use 1 Pkg. of Milk Chocolate Chips (that's what I use)

Directions

PREHEAT oven to 350º F.

COMBINE flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt in medium bowl. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in chunks. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.

BAKE for 9 to 11 minutes or until cookies are puffed and centers are set but still soft. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.

  1. I had 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips left in my cabinet, and saw Chelsea's fb post for wanting chocolate chip cookies, so I got a mouth-watering craving to make these delicious chocolatey cookies. The dough was just as yummy as the baked cookie.
