Recipe from: Laura Watson
I made this yummy salad just last Thanksgiving. Everyone seemed to really like it. The blend of flavors makes it addicting. I toasted the walnuts and dried the grapes really well then cut them in half. Then I added about 1/2 pkg. dry cheesecake pudding mix. I also added apples and strawberries and blueberries. When adding other fruit, you don't need the 4 lbs. of grapes the recipe calls for. Adjust to your liking. Put in 9x13 pan-- seems to work out better than putting in a bowl.
Ingredients
2 lbs green seedless grapes
2 lbs red seedless grapes
8 ounces sour cream
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoon vanilla extract, to taste
Topping Ingredients
1 cup brown sugar, packed, to taste
1 cup crushed pecans, to taste
Directions
1 Wash and stem grapes.
2 Set aside.
3 Mix sour cream, cream cheese, white sugar and vanilla by hand until blended.
4 Stir grapes into mixture, and pour in large serving bowl.
5 For topping: Combine brown sugar, and crushed pecans.
6 Sprinkle over top of grapes to cover completely.
7 Chill 4 hrs.
