*Original Brown Recipe
8 or 9 large cucumbers
4 onions
1 qt. vinegar
4 tsp. mustard seed
4 tsp. celery seed
1/2 C. salt
2 red peppers
4 green peppers
1 C. water
5 C. sugar
1 tsp. tumeric
pinch cloves
Use a gallon sliced cucumbers. Chop green and red peppers and onion. Slice cucumbers and mix together. Put salt over this and leave overnight. Next morning, drain liquid off, but don't rinse. Add vinegar, water, all seasonings and boil 20 minutes. Seal.
