Perfect Crescent Rolls

*Makes 3 dozen

Dissolve 3 Tbs yeast in 1/3 cup warm water

Add to yeast mixture:  2 1/4 cup warm buttermilk, 1/3 cup sugar, 3/4 cup canola oil, 1 1/2 tsp salt, 3/4 tsp salt, approx 7 - 7 1/4 cup all purpose flour (more or less flour to get consistency right).

Mix well, then let stand 10 min COVERED.  Cut into 3 evenly divided sections.  Roll out each on lightly floured surface and make dough into round circle.  Spread melted butter on top, then use pizza cutter and slice into 12 long pieces. Roll dough from outside in to form a crescent roll..  Spray pans and let rise for 30 min or until about doubled.  Bake at 350-375 degrees (depending on your oven) for 10-12 min or until lightly browned on top.
