Recipe from: Laura Watson
I got this recipe from Aunt Barbara when I visited her Easter 2001 . She got it from a Philsbury cookbook. It's a lil' different from the normal cheesecake recipe but ooohh SOOO yummy!!!!
Crust
1 c. flour
1/2 c. - 1c. chopped nuts
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
Mix in a 9x13 pan. Heat 375 for 15 min. Stir once.
Filling
8 oz. pkg cream cheese
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1 c. powdered sugar
1 can cherry pie filling
1 c. whipping cream (NOT coolwhip) mixed with 1 spoonful pow. sugar
Mix cream cheese, extract & pow. sugar. Mix pie filling & whip. cream. Pour in cream cheese mixture and then whipping cream mixture. Sprinkle rest of nuts on top. Chill 1 hr.
