Recipe from: Katy Morrison via Beverly Colvin
2 pounds hamburger
6 ounces ground ham
1 teaspoon each: vinegar, pepper
½ cup chopped green pepper
Small can tomato sauce
2 cloves minced garlic
2 tablespoon oil
2 ½ teaspoons salt
3 beaten eggs
½ cup chopped onion
Fry meats. Add spices and vegetables. Stir in sauce and eggs. Cook until slightly set. Put mixture in a small pumkin (10 inch) that has been cleaned. Put lid back on and bake for an hour at 350. This makes a good Halloween tradition.
This is a tradition every Halloween in our family. I add celery, carrots, purple potatoes, rice, sausage, and canned tomatoes in addition to the original recipe. Omitted the ham though. Super YUM! I shared it with my friend and she did individual pumpkins instead of one big pumpkin. Great idea! Kids would get a kick out of eating from their own lil pumpkin.
