Grandma Browns Honey Nut Bread

This Honey Nut Bread recipe of grandma's was in the original 'Browns Best cookbook'.  I  thought it would be a nice addition to the blog since many of grandmas recipes are posted on this blog.

1   1/2 c. honey
3  3/4 c. flour
1/3 c. shortening
1  1/2 c. nuts
1  1/2 tsp. baking soda
1  1/2 c. milk
3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1  1/2 tsp. salt

Bring honey, milk, and sugar to boil. Remove from heat. Cool. Sift dry ingredients. Add nuts, eggs, and vanilla.  Then add cooled honey mixture and beat 2 min. Turn into greased loaf pans. Bake 325 for 1 hr.
