Healthy Cranberry Orange Balls

Recipe From: Laura

These cran-orange balls are super tasty & so fun to make!  They remind me of the lil healthy nugget balls I used to buy at Rosauer's , only these ones aren’t as tart as those were!  My protein balls are the perfect blend of zesty, tarty , nutty and yumminess all in one!  They’re the perfect on -the-go snack since they have a dose of healthy fats/protein to give you energy & are naturally sweetened. They would be great to make & take camping!  Just keep in a cooler or store with an ice pack.

1 cup raw almonds
1 cup raw walnuts
1/2 cup unsweetened flaked coconut
3 to 5 large pitted dates,
1 cup dried juice sweetened cranberries dried & chopped fine
3 tsp orange zest
1/4 cup sunflower seed butter OR almond butter
3 Tbsp flax seed oil OR coconut oil
2 tsp pure vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. Frontiers orange flavor (like orange extract but stronger)
1/4 tsp sea salt

INSTRUCTIONS
Add all ingredients into your **food processor** and process until a thick dough-like mixture forms. It will be crumbly - this is okay!  Make sure cranberries and dates are processed fine.

Form into balls and refrigerate for at least 2 hours in a sealable container. If balls don't set up at first, freeze dough then form into balls.

Store the balls in a sealable bag or container in the refrigerator or freezer.

**You'll want a food processor for this! A blender just isnt going to process the food really fine as a food processor would.
