Recipe From: Laura
These are the fun lil appetizers I made in the past. Oma & Poppies have a line of different sauces and blend of seasonings that are incredibly amazing!! Their Wingin It Sauce is used in this recipe. You can find their sauces at Albertsons and the Co-op. They also have an online cookbook of recipes that include their different sauces-- oh man, talk about salivate city! Check it out sometime. I loved this recipe since it was so yummy, super easy, light, and healthy. I took it to a ward function and received requests for the recipe. Enjoy. :)

1 bag cole slaw
1 red pepper, sliced
1 -2 cans mandarin oranges, cut in thirds
1 bunch cilantro, chopped
sliced almonds
wonton wrappers
2/3 c. Oma & Poppies brand Wingin it Sauce* (Albertsons or Co-Op)
1/3 c. avocado oil or olive oil
2 Tbsp. soy sauce or liquid aminos
1 Tbsp. red peper flakes (optional if you like an extra kick)
1 Tbsp . minced garlic
Optional- I added sliced green onions and sesame seeds for an Asian flare.
In small bowl, mix the LAST five ingredients. Let sit for 30 min. Then toss the first 5 ingredients, add dressing and top with almonds. Take wonton wrappers and spread each individual wrapper into a muffin tin. This should form a lil' cup that the salad can go in once its baked. Bake at 325 for 6 min. Spoon into wonton chips. Add shredded chicken (Costco has canned chicken that is awesome for this)
**The Wingin' Sauce is kinda spicy and prob. too spicy for kids. So what I did was put the sauce thru a fine sieve, pushing the sauce thru, leaving behind the hot pepper flakes/thicker spices. This extra step helped to make it a lot less spicy!** Total time for prep and chill. 2 hr. and 15 min.
