How do you menu plan for the week?
What a great tip, Shae. Thanks for sharing. As I plan my weekly menu, I look in the pantry, fridge, and freezer to see what meals can come from what I have on hand then purchase the needed ingredients to complete the menu.
ReplyDeleteWhen I ask the kids what they want for dinner, it gets them excited about the meals and creates an opportunity for them to make dinner & enrich their cooking skills. If they're willing, I have them take one night a week to be the chef. Also, there are evenings when we are really busy with activities so dinner that day is usually a crock pot meal that was prepped ahead of time. Sheet pan dinners are also another favorite simple meal. To add a lil spice and spontaneity to our family meals, we like to try incorporate different ethnic cuisines which connects us with other cultures.
