Recipe From: Laura Watson
This tasty, appetizing dip was paired with Sun Valley Rosemary pretzel chips where it was seen making its rounds at Malia's birthday party.
You can choose a favorite chip, cracker, pretzel, or bread slices to enjoy with the dip. If you aren't a fan of spicy, omit the jalapeno or cut in half and take out seeds. The original recipe called for 2 jalapenos but when I made it, I found one jalapeno was plenty (no seeds). It calls for a dry package of ranch dressing. I used an organic version that doesn't have the MSG and other garbage like the regular kind. :) Oh yes.....I thought green onions would make a nice addition so I added 1/2 cup; added a nice touch.
16oz cream cheese, softened
1 pkg dry ranch dressing mix
2oz chopped black olives
1 jalapeno peppers, unseeded and chopped
1 red pepper, chopped
2/3 C. cheddar cheese
In a large mixing bowl, mix all the ingredients together with an electric mixer.
Serve with your favorite tortilla chip, cracker or pretzel.
optional-- I added 1/2 c, green onions
